sterling silver
sterling silver is a shiny, bright, and beautiful metal but tarnishes overtime. To bring your sterling silver jewelry back to it's shine I recommend purchasing a polishing cloth from your local jewelry store. I swim and shower in my sterling silver jewels, so don't be scared to wear and admire your pieces daily. But, if you prefer the everyday sparkle, I would advise you to store your pieces away from moist environments, like the bathroom, and to remove your jewelry before your beautiful self comes in contact with water. Again, a polishing cloth will do the trick every time.
brass
brass, a more affordable alternative to gold, is earthy and magnificent. Unlike sterling silver, I would recommend removing your brass before showering or swimming. Depending on your PH balance, some may find that it can leave an easy-to-wash-off trace of green on their skin. This is completely harmless, and occurs because of the copper content in brass. Because of this, I do not offer rings in brass unless special ordered because between washing your hands and natural sweat buildup, this is a more common occurrence from jewelry worn around your fingers. Most people do not have a problem with brass bracelets and earrings, as long as they remove their jewelry before showering or swimming. I recommend storing your brass jewels out of moist environments, like your bathroom, and polishing them up with a polishing cloth as needed.
earrings
I will always use sterling silver or gold-fill ear wires for sensitive ears.
